Through this statement, we at Kwizkid (hereafter referred to as “we” or “us”) wish to inform you, the quiz participant, of the ways in which we handle your personal data.
Types of personally identifiable information that we may process
Your Email address is needed in order to provide you the online quiz service and provide you with relevant information in the future. It will be stored on secured servers located in the EU until no longer needed.
If you provide us your email address, we might send you:
- emails related to participation in a certain quiz
- notifications about upcoming quizzes; and
- notifications about the project itself.
Photos and videos
If you upload any photos or videos (hereafter referred to as “material”) during a quiz, those will be made available to the moderator(s) and other participants for the duration of that quiz session. The audiovisual material may contain personal data and may be used for questions in that quiz session.
This material will be stored on Digital Ocean servers located in the EU.
Unless you explicitly consent to the material being transferred and used elsewhere, the material will be deleted within 72 hours after the end of the quiz.
If you provide us with explicit consent to further usage of the material, such material may be used for promotional purposes, in which case the material may be transferred to third parties including social media platforms and made public on such platforms. In such cases, the material may be transmitted to third countries outside of the EU.
You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. If you withdraw your consent, we will do our best to prevent your material from being stored and/or made public elsewhere.
As a participant or host, you can request from us
- access to your data;
- to correct or erase your data;
- to stop processing your data any further.
Depending on the requirement of the data for providing our service to you, we will respond to your request within a month. If you are unsatisfied with the way we handled your request, you can file a request at a Data Protection Authority.
